Steel Aermet 100
An alloy providing high hardness and strength combined with exceptional ductility and toughness. This alloy may be considered for aircraft and aerospace structural components requiring high strength, high fracture toughness and exceptional stress corrosion cracking resistance. HEAT TREATED PRODUCTS
AerMet 100* may be considered for use up to about 800°F (427°C). This alloy is not subject to the same restrictions as AF1410 and thus may be considered a substitute.
The alloy is designed for components requiring high strength, high fracture toughness and exceptional resistance to stress corrosion cracking and fatigue.
Common uses of AerMet 100** Armor, Fasteners, Landing gear, Actuators, Ordnance, Ballistic tolerant components, Jet engine shafts, Structural members, Drive shafts and Structural tubing.
