PDA - Partial Discharge Analysis. Adwel International is the pioneer in the supply of on-line partial discharge analysis systems for monitoring stator insulation condition on HV generators and motors. A full service including couplers, analysers and installation is available.
EL CID - Electromagnetic Stator Core Tester. Adwel is the sole and original manufacturer of the widely used ELectromagnetic Core Imperfection Detector. EL CID is a safer, easier, low-power alternative to the high power ring flux test for measuring the integrity of stator cores.
WTD 501 - Wedge Tightness Detector for electronic testing of stator wedges in larger motors and generators. An objective, computer controlled test method allows repeatability and storage of results, for confident maintenance decisions.
RIV - Robot Inspection Vehicle for EL CID and WTD testing on large generators. This narrow, magnetically attached robotic tractor can be used for rotor-in-situ testing in airgaps down to ~30mm, and can also be equipped with inspection cameras for visual inspection.
MCT2 - Motor Core Tester uses electromagnetic techniques to allow low power testing of smaller motor stator cores.
CORONA PROBE - (also known as TVA Probe) for off-line pinpointing of sources of partial discharge in machine windings.
ETI - A range of Electrical Testing Instruments for the Transmission and Distribution industry. Test Sets measure transformer resistance, ratio, capacitance & DF, current transformers, contact resistance and hipot insulation resistance.
MAGNASTART - A unigue Inducer motor starter system, that allows smooth high-torgue starting of slip-ring motors up to 370kW. No liquids or moving parts and robust solid-state (iron and copper!) construction ensures long trouble-free life.
