Big Toys registered as a closed corporation in 1992. The name derived from a father and his sons entering into an earthmoving contract on a mine, where giant dump trucks were purchased along with graders and a crane truck.
On completion of the contract the closed corporation CC. was spilt up and the father remained the sole member of Big Toys plant hire.
Today the dump trucks are contracted to a mine, and the crane truck is operated by the father doing transport, rigging and crane work with the crane truck out of Benoni Gauteng.
With many years experience and successful projects completed, Big Toys is the preferred transporter by big businesses such as Elco’s (Ernest Lowe and Bauer) and many other businesses using crane trucks.
