Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining
The IoM3 mission statement is: To be the leading international professional body for the advancement of materials. minerals and mining to governments, industry, academia, the public and the profession.
The IOM3 is the professional body of the materials science and engineering and minerals and mining community. With a membership of over 24,000 individuals throughout the world, the Institute represents a formidable range of expertise across the disciplines of ceramics, metals, polymers, composites and minerals and mining.
A subsidiary of the Institute, IoM Communications, is responsible for the Institute's many conferences and publications which contribute to the cutting edge of materials science around the world. The journal of the IoM3, Materials World, is distributed to materials scientists, technologists and engineers engaged in all aspects of materials research and development, processing, testing, analysis, manufacture and use.
