Effective 1st of August 2001 M.S. Airconditioning Distributors (Pty) Ltd acquired the distribution rights for Mitsubishi Electric air-conditioners within southern Africa, at the time held by M.S.A. Manufacturing (Pty) Ltd a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Electric (Melco Tokyo Japan), as a going concern.
Mitsubishi Electric air conditioners have been supplied and supported within the Southern African market for the past 25 years, together with its sister products namely Switch Gear, Appliances, Home Audio, Lifts and Escalators. During the year of 2000 Melco Japan decided to distribute their range of products through specialised South African based agencies, with relevant hands on experience within each specific industry with focused knowledge and market understanding.
