Urecon has been supplying UIP factory insulated piping systems to the North American freeze protection and chilled/hot water markets for over 30 years. We have a complete line of accessories including insulation kits for all fittings, Thermocableâ heat trace cable and Portafoam Paks for field spraying of urethane foam. We can provide engineering design assistance including heat loss or heat gain calculations, minimum flow rates, outlet temperatures, etc. We are a 100% employee owned and operated company, with ISO-9001-1994 certified manufacturing facilities in both Edmonton, Alberta and Montreal, Quebec, and sales offices in St. John’s, NF, Toronto, ON, Melbourne, FL and Houston, TX.
For hot water district-heating applications up to 143 deg.C [288 deg. F], Urecon is the North American distributor for Logstor RØR A/S from Denmark. They are the oldest and the largest supplier of factory insulated district heating piping systems in the world. Products are manufactured to European specifications including EN 253 for pre-insulated bonded pipe, EN 489 for joint assemblies, EN 488 for pre-insulated valve assemblies and EN 448 for pre-insulated fitting assemblies. Their innovative and patented ‘System 4’ thin-wall insulated steel pipe system complete with built-in compensators eliminates the use of expansion loops or pre-stressing; an industry first. Logstor RØR A/S is certified to ISO-9001-1994.
