Engineers, designers and manufacturing personnel producing original equipment in the UK have a choice when it comes to their fastener choices and fastening and assembly operations – FAST or furious.

The FAST Exhibition (Fastening & Assembly Solutions Technology) is the UK’s fastener and mechanical fastening and assembly exhibition, the only show of its kind to focus exclusively on putting things together better whatever the application. The FAST Exhibition is being held at the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham on 21st October

Under the headline “Holding everything together better” all types of mechanical fasteners will be dealt with – these include: generic threaded fasteners, nuts, bolts, studs, rivets, inserts, welded, pressed, self-clinch, self-pierce and self interlocking systems amongst much more. There will also be many non-mechanical fastener systems such as adhesives, tapes and fibre-fasteners at The FAST Exhibition and at the IASE sister show.

On show are fasteners, and fastening and assembly systems designed for fastening of all types of components, assemblies, structural elements, covers, etc for use in the electronics, medical, pharmaceutical, marine, automotive, construction, general industrial, electrical, offshore, undersea, petrochemical, rail, aerospace, telecoms, and construction industries.

The FAST Exhibition is focused on cost saving and performance enhancing fastener and fastening solutions – now we are all re-focusing on both cost savings and improved quality, the fasteners we use are of crucial significance since they hold everything together, and so getting the right spec is vital.

The FAST Exhibition is being held at the centrally located National Motorcycle Museum, adjacent to the NEC, and is open from 9.30am to 3pm. Entry is free. The Museum offers abundant free parking immediately outside the exhibition entrance, and the organisers are providing Complimentary Luncheon Vouchers and Complimentary Museum passes for qualifying visitors who register in advance. To take advantage of these special offers visitors need to be currently employed manufacturing professionals involved in design, production, purchasing or manufacturing management. Visitors will also have access to the IASE (Industrial Adhesives, Sealants and Encapsulants Exhibition, supported by BASA) at the same event.
