The ONEA (Office National de l'Eau et de l'Assainissement) in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, has entrusted Degrémont with the refurbishment of two lines of the current water treatment plant (40,000 m³/day of which 28,000 m³/day will be refurbished) and the construction of a new UCDcompact unit treatment line producing 900 m³/hour (18,000 m³/day). This €6.4 million contract, of which Degrémont has a €4.6 million share, will be implemented within eight months for the compact unit, and 12 months for the refurbishment. The operation will be financed by the AFD, the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the ONEA.

The AAWSA (Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority) has selected Feljas & Masson, with Degrémont as declared sub-contractor, for the refurbishment and extension of the Legadadi water treatment plant in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The extension is for a new 42,000 m³/day line to provide 192,000 m³/day of drinking water to the population of Addis Ababa. Degrémont’s contract is for €3.6 million over a period of 18 months.
